SPRING VALLEY — Gladys Parochetti, 93, of rural Spring Valley died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Colonial Healthcare Center in Princeton.
Born March 4, 1920, in Spring Valley to Victor and Catherine Tintorri Dalzot, she married Marcel Parochetti Nov. 12, 1938, at St. Thomas More Church in Dalzell. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1974.
She worked in the office at Sundstrand in LaSalle until retiring. She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Seatonville and the ravioli makers of the church.
Survivors include three sons, James Parochetti of Virginia, Dennis (Karen) Parochetti of rural Princeton and Joseph Parochetti of Ottville; two half sisters, Lea (Charles) Dubberstine of Spring Valley and Wanda (Chuck) Wright of Malden; two half brothers, Victor (Janice) Dalzot of Spring Valley and Richard (Diane) Dalzot of LaSalle; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Dalzot; a sister, Mary Tieman; and a half brother, David Dalzot.
Prayers will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at The Nativity of Our Lord Church (Mautino Drive location) in Spring Valley at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, in the funeral home.
