Lions trip Raiders in OT

The LaMoille/Ohio Lions went into overtime, stealing a 51-47 win on the road at Earlville/Leland Tuesday night in Little Ten Conference play.

The Red Raiders outscored the Lions 11-7 to force overtime with a 38-all tie. The Lions won it with a 13-9 advantage in overtime.

“It was a great team effort. Our boys played for each other and with a lot of heart,” L/O coach Brent Kalsto said.

Jacob Tudor led the Lions with 14 points and Preston Powers (9) and Josh Gross (8) combined for 17.

St. Bede 67, Orion 57: The Bruins had a slow start getting off the bus, but came on strong to post the Three Rivers South victory Tuesday, the Chargers gained a 19-12 first-quarter, seeking its first win in league play. The Bruins turned the tables, outscoring the Chargers 40-21 over the next two quarters to build a 52-40 lead.

Jarrett Olson had 22 points and Jack Brady 19 for the Bruins.

St. Bede also won the sophomore game 55-36 behind Jon Dose’s 22 points.

Prophetstown 60, Bureau Valley 51: Chris Bauer scored 19 points to lead the Prophets to a 60-51 victory over the Storm Tuesday in Prophetstown. Grant Ames added 14 points for the Prophets (11-13, 6-5).

Tommy Johnston had 19 points, and David Miller added 14 for the Storm (17-9, 9-2), who fall to second place behind Newman (23-2, 11-1) in the TRAC North.
