Spring Valley Police

Traffic stop

Following a traffic stop for speeding by the Spring Valley Police, Michael J. Yuvan, 18, of Ladd was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. The traffic stop occurred at 4:57 p.m. Feb. 28 on Route 6, three-tenths mile west of Oak Street in Spring Valley.

Martin Fuentes-Romo, 25, of LaSalle was charged with driving with no valid driver's license and disobeying a stop sign, following a traffic stop at 8:16 p.m. March 3 in the 100 block of East St. Paul Street.


Robin L. Philippe, 44, of Spring Valley reported at 7:22 a.m. March 3 that her vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked overnight in the 300 block of East Devlin Street.

Jack F. Marthaitis, 70, of Spring Valley was involved in a single-vehicle accident at 10 p.m. March 1 on Route 6, one-fourth mile east of Mary Street.

Kyle R. Hurless, 20, of Granville and Maryann Parks, 26, of Spring Valley were involved in a two-vehicle crash at 2:08 a.m. March 1 on the Ponsetti Drive Apartment parking lot. Hurless was ticketed with driving while license suspended/revoked.

A 17-year-old Spring Valley girl reported on March 3 that her vehicle had been struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked on the 100 block of Devlin Street.
