Open house for Keigwin's 100th birthday

An open house and card shower to celebrate the 100th birthday of Mabel Keigwin will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut.

Mabel Kofoed was born March 10, 1914, and lived in the Harmon/Walnut area. She married Tom Young and moved to North Dakota. They lived there for many years. Tom farmed and Mabel was a school teacher.

Years after Tom’s passing, Mabel came back to the Walnut area and married Charles Keigwin. They lived on the Keigwin farmstead north of town. Charles passed away in February 2010. Mabel now resides at Walnut Manor.
