Wyanet Village Board meeting

WYANET — The Wyanet Village Board will meet at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday. This is a different date then was previously scheduled.

Lenten meditation and luncheon

PRINCETON — Hampshire Colony Congregational Church will host a Lenten noontime musical meditation and luncheon on Wednesday, beginning at 12:10 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The musical performance will be by the Elm City Bells and the lunch will be sandwiches. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Genealogy Guild meeting

OTTAWA — The LaSalle County Genealogy Guild will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Guild Library, 115 W. Glover St., Ottawa. Rachael Mellen will speak about the Irish side of her ancestry, show photos of her research trip to Ireland and offer hints on how to proceed with researching Irish ancestry.

Wine and Paint

PRINCETON — Prairie Arts Council Director Melody Best will teach the theorem painting technique at the wine and paint from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Prairie Art Center Gallery, 24 Park Ave. East, Princeton. The fee is $32 for members and $35 for non-members. Wine, appetizers and all art supplies are included in the cost. To register, call 815-875-2787.

Art classes

PRINCETON — The second in a series of children’s art classes will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Prairie Arts Council Gallery. The fee for each class is $12 per child for PAC members and $15 for non-members. To register, call the Prairie Arts Center at 815-875-2787.

BCGS meeting

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. April 24. The topic of the evening’s program will be cemetery restoration. The public is encouraged to attend this free program which will be presented by John C. Heider, a professional cemetery restoration specialist. The meeting will be held at the society library at 629 S. Main St. in Princeton.

Reunion

SHEFFIELD — Western High School class of 1974 will hold its 40th reunion at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Brothers Pub/Fuzzy’s House of Blues on Main Street in Sheffield. All 1970s era classmates are welcome to attend.
