Time for a change
As the snow falls as tiny crystals hit the ground, it reminds me that a change is needed. People look forward to spring after experiencing a long, cold winter. We await in anticipation for that warmer weather.
I look forward to the primary election that will be held on Tuesday, March 18. “We the People” have the freedom on this day to have our voice be heard. We choose candidates who are to represent our best interest. We need to hold all of our leaders responsible for the decisions they either support or oppose.
Within one’s community, state or nation, people need to become less useful idiots. Being educated and informed allows people to make better decisions than what they would have otherwise made.
Illinois is corrupt by nature because the voters continue to choose the same type of people who have allowed this mess to continue year after year.
Jerry Long, a resident of Streator, Illinois, is running against Frank Mautino in the Illinois House 76th District. Mautino has only run opposed twice, and he is a well-polished career politician.
Jerry, his wife Patricia, have four children.
Jerry is a Teamster driver of 28 years and is concerned about the financial status of Illinois.
Jerry knows that for real change to come to Illinois, we must bring jobs to the private sector. Jerry, like most people in Illinois, understands how to live within a budget and is willing to make the tough decisions that are in the best interest of the people of Illinois.
New leadership will begin in Illinois when voters take responsibility and vote. When evil rules, it ruins and corrupts a state just like our experience here in Illinois. We need to send career politicians home permanently, never to be in a public position of authority again.
First, you must be a registered voter; then you must understand the views your candidate supports. Once the primary is over, voters need to see to it that in the general election, Nov. 4, 2014, Jerry Long is the new representative in the 76th District for Illinois.
