Book fair, bake sale

PRINCETON — The Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a book fair from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 27 and 28. A bake sale will also be held from 7 a.m. to noon March 28. Both events will be held in the Medical Office Building lobby at PMH. Each year the PMH Auxiliary hosts a variety of events to raise money to purchase equipment for the hospital. In addition to various fundraisers, the Auxiliary operates the gift shop located in the hospital’s main lobby.

Family Fun Night

OHIO — A Family Fun Night will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church in Ohio. The event, which is open to the public, will include a movie, games and snacks.

Soup supper

NEPONSET — A soup supper will be served at 5 p.m. March 22 at the Neponset Community Building. Admission is $8 per person. The menu will be soup, salad, breadsticks and dessert. Funds raised will go toward this year’s Picnic Days.

Paying it forward

PRINCETON — WQAD, along with Ascentra Credit Union, was in Princeton March 5 and presented Sara Edlefson $300 to pay it forward to Elizabeth Arkels for her countless hours of volunteering, especially at the Moms Helping Moms Pantry. This will air on WQAD today, Thursday, during Good Morning Quad Cities, and during the 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. newscasts. There will also be a link on WQAD’s website.

PHS prepares for ‘Honk!’

PRINCETON — Princeton High School will present “Honk!,” the musical based off Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling,” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Sally Skinner Auditorium. Tickets are $8 and are available by calling 815-875-3308, ext. 375. All seats reserved.
