Community Notes

Breakfast planned

MANLIUS — The Manlius Boys and Girls 4-H Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Manlius Sportsman’s Club on Main Street. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for ages 4-12 and free for age 3 and under. A bake sale will also be held. Carryouts will be available. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance from any club member.

Hall fundraiser

LADD — The Hall High School Education Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser at Rip’s from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. The cost is a $7 donation. Carryouts are available at the front door only. There will also be a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle. To purchase tickets, contact a foundation board member.

Tea Party meeting

OTTAWA — The LaSalle County Tea Party, formerly the Bureau-LaSalle Tea Party, will host Sheila Weinberg, founder and CEO of the Institute for Truth in Accounting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Pitstick Pavilion on North Route 23 in Ottawa. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge.

Rotary meeting

PRINCETON — The Princeton Rotary Club will meet at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Elks Lodge in Princeton.

PAC exhibit

PRINCETON — ‘A Bit of the Green’ art exhibit will be open to the public for viewing through March 28 at the Prairie Arts Council Gallery at 24 Park Ave. East in Princeton. This exhibit features the works of PAC members and invited non-member artists and includes mixed media paintings and drawings, photographs and sculptures that have the color green in their composition. Hours are 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Eurotrash art event

LASALLE — White Trash Gallery in LaSalle will be featuring works by several European artists beginning Saturday, March 29 and continuing throughout April. An opening reception, with film screenings, will be at 7 p.m. March 29. Refreshments will be served. White Trash Gallery is located at 139 Gooding, LaSalle. Trivia night

MENDOTA — Safe House Animal Rescue League will host a trivia night March 29 at the Mendota Moose Lodge, 211 E. 12th St. in Mendota. Doors open at 6 p.m. for registration and playing begins at 7 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Teams can have up to 10 players. There is a cash bar. LADD — The Ohio Public Library’s annual fundraiser will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30 at Rip’s in Ladd. Tickets are $7 and available at the library or from any library board member. There will be a 50/50 drawing and a raffle.

BUDA — The Buda Fire Department will host an all-you-can-eat pancake and biscuit and gravy breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30 at the Buda Community Hall. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 5-12 and free for ages 4 and under.

Chicken dinner fundraiser

MALDEN — Humpty Dumpty Preschool in Malden will host its third annual chicken dinner and raffle from 4 to 8 p.m. March 31 at JTs Bar and Grill in Cherry. Ticks are $8 and include 1/4 of chicken or chicken strops, fires and a dessert. Tickets can be purchased at the door and carryouts are available. There will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. All tips will be donated to the preschool.

Quilters Guild meeting

PRINCETON — The Covered Bridge Quilters Guild will meet at 7 p.m. April 4 at Christ Community Church, 1719 Euclid Ave. in Princeton. The program, given by Lisa Binkley, will be “Adding Sparkle and Texture to Quilts.” Guests are welcome to attend for a fee of $5. A workshop will be at 4 p.m. April 5 at the church. Open house

OHIO — The Ohio Fire Department will host an open house from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5 for all residents served by the Ohio Fire Protection District. Coffee, soda and snacks will be served and there will be a 50/50 drawing.

Cheerleading tryouts

PERU — St. Bede Academy will hold cheerleading tryouts at 6 p.m. April 6. Workshops will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 4 and April 5 in the third floor Chapel.

Spaghetti dinner

LASALLE — Lighted Way and Uptown Grill are co-sponsoring the annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 8 p.m. April 7 at Uptown Grill in LaSalle. To purchase tickets, call the school at 815-224-1345 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday or purchase them at the door. The cost is $8. Carry-ous will be available.

Trivia Night

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille and Ohio Athletic Boosters will host a Trivia Night April 12 at the LaMoille Lions Club, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and trivia will begin at 7 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per team, with six to 10 people on each team. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. PRINCETON — Just for Kix has announced registration for the 2014-15 season will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12 at the Princeton Arts Academy, home of the Just For Kix program. Torri Price is the director for the program.
