Democratic Club meeting

DEPUE — The DePue/Bureau Democratic Club will meet at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, at the VFW in DePue. A ravioli dinner will be served after the meeting. The meeting is open to everyone.

Tea Party meeting

PRINCETON — We the People Tea Party will hold an open, public meeting at 6:30 p.m. today, Thursday, in the Bureau County Republican meeting room located at 800 Ace Road, Princeton. Tom Sutton from DuPage County will speak on Agenda 21. This information regards an agenda which targets property rights, rights of churches as well as a radical environmental movement.

Rally set for Saturday

PRINCETON — An Impeach Obama Rally is set from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Princeton Interstate 80 overpass. Two Tea Parties will be participating — Princeton and LaSalle. For more information, contact Lisa Nistor at 630-253-2579 or fire829829@yahoo.com.

Quilters Guild meeting

PRINCETON — The Covered Bridge Quilters Guild will meet at 7 p.m. April 4 at Christ Community Church, 1719 Euclid Ave. in Princeton. The program, given by Lisa Binkley, will be “Adding Sparkle and Texture to Quilts.” Guests are welcome to attend for a fee of $5. A workshop will be at 4 p.m. April 5 at the church. ‘The Giver’

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille High School drama department will present Lois Lowry’s “The Giver” at 7 p.m. April 4 and April 5. It is adapted by Eric Coble. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 4 years old.

Open house

OHIO — The Ohio Fire Department will host an open house from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5 for all residents served by the Ohio Fire Protection District. Coffee, soda and snacks will be served and there will be a 50/50 drawing.

Cheerleading tryouts

PERU — St. Bede Academy will hold cheerleading tryouts at 6 p.m. April 6. Workshops will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 4 and April 5 in the third floor Chapel.

Fundraiser planned

LADD — The Ladd After School Program will hold a chicken dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 7 at Rip’s in Ladd. This will be for both dine in and carryout. There will also be a bake sale, 50/50 and raffles. Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door, from any Ladd After School parent or by calling the 815-228-1967.

Spaghetti dinner

LASALLE — Lighted Way and Uptown Grill are co-sponsoring the annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 8 p.m. April 7 at Uptown Grill in LaSalle. To purchase tickets, call the school at 815-224-1345 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday or purchase them at the door. The cost is $8. Carry-outs will be available.

Trivia Night

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille and Ohio Athletic Boosters will host a Trivia Night April 12 at the LaMoille Lions Club, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and trivia will begin at 7 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per team, with six to 10 people on each team. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Registration announced

PRINCETON — Just for Kix has announced registration for the 2014-15 season will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12 at the Princeton Arts Academy, home of the Just For Kix program. Torri Price is the director for the program.
