The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Patrick’s in Maytown sewed 210 dresses and 46 britches for Ugandan children. The project, Little Dresses for Africa, began as a Lenten project in 2011. To date, they have made 1,380 dresses. Kathy McLaughlin (left), Marilyn Blaine, Mary Ann Cardot, Kathy Bohn and Marilyn Weeks pack dresses to be shipped to Uganda. For information about the project or to request a pattern, call Marilyn Weeks at 815-638-2022.
