A voter casts her ballot Tuesday in the primary election in Princeton. Voter turnout was at only 21 percent of the county's registered voters. Bureau County Clerk Kami Hieronymus cited heavier Republican turnout because of the contested races for sheriff and treasurer. Of the 5,126 ballots cast, there were 3,879 Republican ballots taken out; 1,202 Democrat ballots; and 146 non-partisan ballots.
