A $2,700 contribution was recently received from Dixon County Market in support of the CGH Health Foundation Women’s Cancer Prevention Program. This is the third year the store employees have hosted October events to raise funds. Twenty-five employees wore special shirts throughout the month and dressed all in pink on Pink Day (Oct. 20). In addition, customers purchased 2,700 pink ribbons which were hung throughout the store, including those that were placed on the special Memory Window in honor or memory of loved ones affected by breast cancer. The CGH Health Foundation provided an educational booth at the store throughout the month. The contribution funds will be used to provide under-served women with mammograms, healthcare exams and diagnostic tests.
