PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton conducted its March veterans workshop March 12 at the post home.

Treats for 32 veterans sacks included fresh fruit, popcorn, snack items, homemade cookies, candies, special diet treats and personal care items.

“This is a monthly ‘VA&R’ activity for the Unit to provide the veterans in four nursing homes in the area with treats and to say ‘thank you’ for their service to our country,” said Clara Pease, chairman.

To make a monetary donation to the Unit for the veterans program, send to Clara Pease, 321 Briar Lane, Princeton, IL 61356; or to ALA 125, 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton, IL 61356, Attn: Veterans.
