Princeton Public Library Director Julie Wayland looks at just a few pieces of local artwork on display for the next few weeks at the library. The Connecting Threads community arts show will run from today, April 1, through April 19, with the art exhibition open during regular library hours. This year’s fifth local art show features an estimated 80 pieces of artwork in three-dimensional media or styles, including needle arts, textiles, woodworking, paper craft and pottery. The theme “Connecting Threads” not only refers to the textile arts featured in the arts show, but also refers to connecting various artists in the community, Wayland said. The local artists will be recognized at a Connecting Threads opening reception, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the library.
