PERU — Independent For Life, a home medical equipment company, has been serving the area for the last seven years.

“We have been here for 10 years and first had specialty medical items,” said Bob Nudd, owner. “We wanted our customers to have more and additional options not available from other companies like portable oxygen travel-sized tanks, beds with battery backups and respirators oxygen CPAP nebulizers.”

The company has durable medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs and walkers for its customers.

“We service the Princeton area every day and all of Bureau County area,” he added. “Our philosophy is we give people options. We search the Internet and catalogs to find the items people want and not just tell them they aren’t available.”

The company’s revamped website is currently under construction and will be up and running in about a month, said Rudd.

“People can’t order off our website,” he said. “They will have to call the office at 866-494-1948.”

The office, located at 4015 Progress Boulevard in Peru, is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
