Chamber meeting

PRINCETON — The Princeton Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in Fitzgerald’s basement. The meeting, A Run for the Roses…A Race for Business Success, is $25 per person and includes dinner. There will be a cash bar. There will be a Kentucky Derby hat contest. Blood drive

PRINCETON — An American Red Cross blood drive will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church, 316 S. Church St., Princeton. You may be eligible if you last donated on or before March 6. A Red Cross donor card or photo ID is needed. To make an appointment, call the Princeton office at 815-879-2231.

Quilters Guild meeting

PRINCETON — The Covered Bridge Quilters Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 24 N. Main St., Princeton. There will be judging and awards for the Log Cabin Challenge. Guests are welcome for a $5 fee. There will be no May workshop.

Fundraiser planned

PERU — A flapjack fundraiser to support Project Success will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday at Applebee’s, 1507 36th St., Peru.

Concert

OGLESBY — The Illinois Valley Community College Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Gene Montgomery, will be in concert at 3 p.m. May 4, at IVCC’s Cultural Centre. The event is free to the public. The performance will include works by Tucci, Hanson, Bennett, Balmages and Gershwin.
