Gaylord Cartwright

CAMDEN, Tenn. — Gaylord "Hoss" R. Cartwright of Camden, Tenn., formerly of Princeton, passed away at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014.

He was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Sublette to Elmer and Mary (Conant) Cartwright.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1956 in the Seabee's. He was a semi truck driver for 60 years before he retired.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Liz Cartwright, and eight children, Gary (Debbie) Cartwright of Princeton, David (Denise) Hewitt of Pearland, Texas, Sonya (Don) Moench of Poulsbo, Wash., Daniel (Janice) Cartwright of Dover, Roger Cartwright of Peru, Robert Cartwright of Lebanon, Mo., Tina Skaggs of Lebanon, Mo., and Trina Williams of Lebanon, Mo. He is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Simmons of Princeton and Shirley Hobbs of Sublette; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

There will be no service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
