Eagles Auxiliary holds vendor fair

PERU — Fraternal Order of Eagle Auxiliary Peru 2688 held its fifth annual vendor fair on March 9 with 41 vendors participating, including Starved Rock Area Special Olympics and LP Education.

The 50/50 was won by Lorrie Parker. She received $487 at the end of the event. The chairmen were Jane Krysiak, Elaine Day, Karen Brongel and Betty Parks.

The Auxiliary welcomed Lisa Dickens from Princeton as a member at the March 13  meeting.

The past presidents of the Auxiliary were honored March 26. Glenna Walters, Kathleen Baraconi, Paula Sittler, Mary Chapman, Cheryl Kelish and Betty Parks are past presidents.

Wednesday’s meeting will be the nomination of officers for 2014-15 year. Members interested in holding an office need to attend or send a letter of intent to be nominated. Officers will be installed at 7 p.m. May 8. Members are asked to attend.  Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
