Meeting set

WYANET — The Wyanet Golden Eagles will meet at 12:30 p.m. May 6 at Main St. BBQ in Wyanet. Lunch is pay for your own and seniors 55 and older are invited to attend. For more information, call Louise at 815-699-7768.

Meeting planned

WYANET — The Wyanet Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. May 6 at the historical hall. Members are asked to attend as plans will be made for the Memorial Day ice cream social.

Donations wanted

PRINCETON — The Princeton Veterans Group of Post 125 is preparing for “More on 34” rummage sales in June and will accept good, clean working donations from now until day before the sales. To make a donation, call Brad at 815-866-9349 and leave your name and phone number. The group will offer items from the basement to the attic and in between. Friday sales will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday sales will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday will be “Bag Day.”

Banners available

PRINCETON — American Legion Post 125 of Princeton has one and two blue star banners on hand for those wishing to purchase one for the military member in their family. Three-star banners need to be special ordered. For more information, call the post home at 815-872-1171 and leave a message. The Post also has new 3-by-5-foot nylon flags on hand.

Auxiliary workshop

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its May veterans workshop at 9 a.m. May 14. Members are reminded to bring in their donations for the treat sacks. After the workshop, the business meeting will be called to order at 10 a.m. All members are encouraged to attend this important meeting.
