BVS students compete at IESA contest

The Bureau Valley South music students participated in the IESA solo and ensemble contest. All BVS students who participated received first place.

BUDA — On March 22, the Bureau Valley South Music Department participated in the IESA solo and ensemble contest. All events which performed received a first place.

Participating were: Alex Geary, piano solo; Madison Mares and Isabelle Wright, flute duet; Kale Barnett, Corbin Endress, Morgan Strader and Thomas Gosch, vocal ensemble; Jenna Nordstrom, clarinet solo; Kurt Bitting, alto sax solo with Geary as his accompanist; Ryanne Balensiefen and Madison Maltas, clarinet duet; Dylan Benavidez, oboe solo; Leeandra Sights, Breanna Richardson and Mark Richardson, vocal ensemble; Liam Minnix, Kale Barnett and Thomas Gosch, snare drum trio; and Marissa Endress, Madison Mares, Sophia Myong and Saige Barnett, vocal ensemble.  Accompanist for the day was Jean Brown.
