IVCIL to hold special education workshop

LASALLE — Join the Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living and Family Matters for a freespecial education workshop. “Student Progress: What support does your child need over the summer?” will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 8 in the IVCIL conference room, 18 Gunia Drive, LaSalle. Attendees will learn about extended school year eligibility requirements, providing summer activities at home and in the community, resources for summer supports and monitoring progress year round. Two and a half CPDUs will be available for educators, and a certificate of attendance will also be available. Light refreshments will be served.
