PRINCETON — Betty R. Dillon of Princeton passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at her home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Sandwich to John and Edithe (Hackerson)Helgren. She graduated from Sandwich High School in 1939. She married Emery E. Dillon in 1949 in Aurora. She was a mother and a homemaker all of her life.
She is survived by her four children, Debra (Jack) Sheehy of Princeton, Susan(Larry) Matei of Montgomery, Jeff (Bonnie Jeanne) Dillon of Florida and Jodee(Scott) Zelenik of Princeton; her grandchildren, Sean Corrigan, Seraiah (Andrew) Hummel, Erin (Chris) Wieland, Emily Matei, and Clayton and Emma Zelenik; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack (Dorthy) Helgren and Paul (Elaine) Helgren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery; her parents; and one brother, Robert (Betty) Helgren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the Christ Community Church in Princeton. A celebration of Betty’s life was also held Sunday, April 27, at Bliss Creek’s Pine Room in Sugar Grove.
