Cookout

WYANET — The Wyanet Youth Baseball program will host a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wyanet Locker. They will be serving ribeyes, butterfly chops, pork burgers, brats, hotdogs, chips and pop.

Fish Fry

MANLIUS — There will be a fish and chicken fry from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Manlius Sportsman Club to support St. Jude. The cost is $8. All proceeds will go to the Minonk to Peoria St. Jude Run. Carry-outs are available.

Graduation

OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College’s Adult Education program will honor its general educational development (GED) graduates at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Cultural Centre. Invitations have been sent to GED graduates who completed GED Testing prior to Dec. 31, 2013.

Blood drive

SPRING VALLEY — An American Red Cross blood drive will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 27 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley. To make an appointment or for more information, call 800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in.

Breakfast

SPRING VALLEY — The Spring Valley PAWS Group will host a farewell pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Lincoln School. Tickets will be sold at the door and cost $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10 years old.

Not the Putnam County Spelling Bee

PRINCETON – Learning Stage presents Not the Putnam County Spelling Bee at 7 p.m. Friday at Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St., Princeton. A light-hearted spelling bee for adults to promote Festival 56’s upcoming production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” Teams should have 3-4 members. The cost is $10 per person. Register at learningstage@festival56.com or at the door.
