MALDEN — Reese Ewalt, 76, of Malden passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Colonial Nursing Home in Princeton.
He was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Malden to Monte Ewalt and Erma (Welch) Ewalt. He graduated from Malden High School in 1956. He married Myrna Debolt on Dec. 27, 1959, in Varna. He was a member of the Malden Methodist Church.
Resse was a stone setter working at Josten's for 37 1/2 years. He spent a great deal of his free time before and after retirement as a computer enthusiast and an "old car buff" working on his "special" old car.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna Ewalt; a son, Barry (Chris) Ewalt; a daughter, Shari Kuepker; a brother, Jerry Ewalt; a granddaughter, Megan Ewalt; and three stepgrandchildren, Lizzi Neal, and Tanya and Michael Schrock.
He was preceded by his parents, Monte and Erma Ewalt, and a brother, Myron Ewalt.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with Pastor Brian Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Malden Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at the funeral home.
