Storm second in TRAC Girls Track and Field Meet

Bureau Valley was the runnerup in Friday's Three Rivers Athletic Conference track and Field championships at Rockridge High School.

The Storm tallied 94.5 points to finish second behind champ Erie/Prophetstown (137.5). Amboy/LaMoille (86) claimed third, Hall (70.5) was fourth and Princeton (63) sixth.

BV's Lindsay Hoffert won the long jump (16-2 1/4) and finished second in the 200. The Storm also placed second in the 4x100 relay (52.35), the 4x200 (1:49.64) and the 4x400 (4:14.29).

Princeton's Zoe Mead had a double, winning the 400 (58.72) and the 800 (2:20.76). Teammate Colbi Schertz won the shot put with a school record 39-5 and Taylor Clark was second in the discus (106-9).

LaMoille/Amboy senior Laura Reiker won the high jump (5-2) and Hall freshman Madi Quinn won the pole vault (10-0).
