Neponset banquet

NEPONSET — The Neponset High School Alumni Association will hold its annual banquet at 7 p.m. June 7 at the Flemish American Club, 313 N. Burr Blvd., Kewanee. Cocktails will be available at 6 p.m. Graduates from the classes of 1939, 1944, 1954, 1964, 1974, 1984, 1989 and 1994 will be honored. The cost is $16.50 per person. Reservations and payment must be mailed to Neponset Alumni Association, P.O. Box 214, Neponset, IL 61345 by today, Tuesday, and should include the graduation year of those attending.

Meeting set

DEPUE — The DePue/Bureau County Democrats will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Hall in DePue. The guest speaker will be Janice Wamhoff, Bureau County coroner. Ravioli will be served after meeting.

Citywide sales

DEPUE — The village of DePue will have citywide garage sales June 6-8. To be included on the map, contact the village clerk at 815-447-2177.

Tea Party meeting on Thursday

PRINCETON — “We The People” Tea Party will hold an open public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bureau County Republican newspaper conference room, 800 Ace Road, Princeton. “They come to America, the cost of illegal immigration,” a Dennis Michael Lynch film, will be viewed. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Blood drive planned

MANLIUS — An American Red Cross blood drive will be from 3 to 6 p.m. June 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 202 S. Fourth St. in Manlius. To make an appointment or for more information, call 800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in.

Job fair

OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College’s Office of Human Resources will sponsor its first part-time instructor job fair from 5 to 7 p.m. May 28 in CTC 124-125. Preregister at ivcc.edu/teach. For information, contact human resources at 815-224-0426.
