Homestead Festival Lawn Social set for June 7

PRINCETON — The 2014 Homestead Festival Lawn Social, kicking off the Homestead Festival’s 2014 theme “Back In The Day” with a 1950s twist honoring famous Princeton resident/actor Richard Widmark, will be June 7 at the Owen Lovejoy Homestead in Princeton.

The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. with 1950s dress encouraged. Complimentary tours of the Lovejoy Homestead will be available during the social. This year’s event will include 1950s tunes and appetizers from various local vendors. The Homestead Car Show will join them this year with a few of their members’ wonderful 1950s automobiles on display, and 1950s decor in Homestead Festival’s 2014 colors of red, black and white will also be displayed.

Tickets are $30 each in advance and $35 at the event. These may be purchased at Guys & Gals Salon in Princeton or the Princeton Chamber of Commerce Office at the Prouty Building. Donations are also welcome to support the 43rd annual Homestead Festival, and these may be directed to Rick Clary at Central Bank. Tickets for the annual 50/50 raffle will also be available. Co-hosts include lead couple, Keith and Amy Johnson, along with Shawn and Sara Cooper, and Mike and Kelly Morris.
