Widmark group to meet Thursday

PRINCETON — The Richard Widmark Centennial Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Princeton Public Library’s Matson Meeting Room. The public is invited to attend and get involved.

Cookout

PRINCETON — The Tri-County Humane Society is having a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Tractor Supply in Princeton. They will be serving brats, hot dogs, ribeyes and pork chops.

WYANET — Wyanet Elementary School will host a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wyanet Locker. They will be serving ribeyes, butterfly chops, pork burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips and pop.

Meeting

WYANET — The Wyanet Golden Eagles will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Main St. BBQ in Wyanet. Lunch is pay for your own and all seniors over 50 years old are invited. For more information, call Louise at 815-699-7768.

Garage sales

LADD — The village of Ladd will hold its town-wide garage sales on June 7. Sale maps will be available on June 4 at Casey’s North Central Bank, Ladd Village Hall, the post office and on the village’s website, www.vil.ladd.il.us. For more information, contact the Ladd Village Clerk at 815-894-2440.

Auction

PRINCETON — The Princeton Rotary will hold its annual auction June 21 at the Princeton Galleria, 1659 N. Main St., Princeton. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the live auction and festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased from any Rotary member. Tickets will also be available at the door. The evening includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. There will also be a silent auction.

Breakfast set

PRINCETON — A breakfast for Perry Memorial Hospital retirees and former employees will be at 9 a.m. June 5 in the PMH cafeteria.
