BV Boys Basketball Camp
MANLIUS — The Bureau Valley High School Boys Basketball Camp will be held June 10-13.
There will be sessions for Grades 2-5 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., Grades 6-8 from 10 am. to noon, and high school as noted on the BVHS summer schedule. Cost is $50 after May 30. All campers will receive a Storm basketball and T-shirt.

BV Chute Basketball Camp
MANLIUS — Bureau Valley High School will be hosting the Chute Basketball Shooting Camp on June 16-17. The camp will include proper shooting technique, post work for inside players, guard work for perimeter players and ball handling and dribbling.
There will be sessions for Grades 9-12 boys and girls from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and for Grades 4-7 boys and girls from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $70 with a $30 non-refundable deposit.

IVCC Volleyball Camp
OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College will host youth volleyball camps sessions with a focus on player experience rather than a grade-based approach. The beginners camp will meet from 9 a.m. to noon June 12-13, and 9 to 10:30 a.m. June 14. Session 1 of the high school prep camp will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. June 10-11 and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. June 12. Session 2 meets from 1 to 4 p.m. June 12-13 and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 14.
Beginner camp covers basic skills such as serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, digging, serve receive and game strategies. The camp is an introduction to volleyball and is recommended for ages 8-12 and for those from basic middle school programs.
The high school camp is designed for players with a higher level of experience regardless of age including multiple years of club and/or from advanced middle school programs. Focus will be on refining individual skills, running quick offenses and multiple defenses.
Camps are led by head coach Julie Sherbeyn and assistant coach Samantha Deters with the help of the IVCC volleyball team. The camps are open to girls and boys ages 8-15. The $55 registration includes 7 1/2 hours of instruction, T-shirt and certificate. Registration forms are available at www.ivcc.edu/volleyball. Late registration is accepted.

PC Youth Basketball Camp
GRANVILLE — The Putnam County High School basketball program will be hosting a Youth Basketball Camp on July 6, 9-12 for students entering grades 1-9. The camp is designed to improve each camper’s basketball skills and provide a fun week of basketball. Coaches in the Putnam County basketball program will be helping out along with many of the high school varsity players and former players. Both boys and girls are welcome.
Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and prizes will be awarded for contest and game winners during the camp. Cost per camper is $50. Lady Panthers Golf Camp
MCNABB — Putnam County High School Lady Panthers golf team will be hosting a mini-camp from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 9-11 at Edgewood Golf Club.
The camp is open to all girls who will be attending PCHS in the fall of 2014 and interested in playing high school golf in the fall. The camp is also open to any girls who are entering eighth grade so they can see the sort of things the team works on at the high school level.
There is no cost for the camp, but those who wish to attend must pre-register by calling head coach Eric Ciucci at 815-866-9375.
St. Bede camps
St. Bede Academy is offering a variety of summer camps. For more information, call 815-223-3140. Here’s a rundown:
Wrestling Camp: Plan to wrestle, swim, play football, and wrestle for this 3 day camp. Wrestling instruction covers physical and mental preparation, takedowns, escapes, and pinning combinations. Headgear and wrestling shoes are recommended but not required. Snacks will be provided. New wrestlers welcome.
The camp runs June 19-21 and is open to students entering grades 2-8. Cost: is $50, includes snacks and a T-shirt.
Swimming Camp: Coach Joan Jobst will offer camp time for competitive, beginners and intermediates from June 22 through July 3. Cost is $55 per swimmer
Cheer Camp: New Academy cheerleading coach, Danielle Saletzki, will have sessions for grades K-4 and 5-8 on June 19-20 with a special performance for parents at 10 a.m. June 21. Cost is $30
Speed, Agility and Quickness Camp: Under the direction of track coach Mike Skoflance, this amp is designed to introduce to young athletes the training methods which will enhance their speed, agility and quickness. It will be held June 18-21. Cost is $45.
Lady Bruins Basketball Camp: The camp will emphasize the fun in playing as a team and the challenge of competition through games making it enjoyable for all groups. There will be sessions for grades 4-6 and grades 7-9. Cost is $50 and includes T-shirt and a basketball.
Girls’ Basketball Post Camp: Lady Bruins’ assistant coach, Stef Kaufmann will teach the skills needed for all post players to play at a high level. Skills taught will range from basic post positioning to making the move to the basket to become better for your team next season. It is open to girls entering grades 7-12 on June 11-12. Cost is $35 and includes T-shirt
Boys Basketball Camp: Under the guidance of head basketball coach Mike Kilmartin, his staff and players, the week long camp will consist of station drills, daily skill challenges, and individual instruction. The team game with competitions and scrimmages will also be a part of the instruction. The camp is for boys entering grades 4-6 and 7-9. Cost is $45 and includes a T-shirt.
Volleyball Camp: Campers will receive instruction on all skills of the game including hitting, serving, blocking, and setting from our volleyball coach, Dawn Williams, and the current members of the volleyball team. The camp is for girls entering grades 4-9, running June 23-27. Cost is$45 and includes a T-shirt
Lady Bruins Softball Camp: Learn basic hitting, fielding, and base running skills from Mike Urbanski, The camp meets from June 16-19 for girls entering grades 4-9. Cost is $45 and includes a T-shirt.
