Grief and loss group

PRINCETON — The Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will host its monthly grief and loss support group at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. All are welcome to attend.


PRINCETON — From 6 to 9 p.m. Friday there will be a free summer kickoff dance at the Tiskilwa West Park to celebrate Strawberry Festival weekend. The Generics Goodies Band will perform.

Breastfeeding support

PRINCETON — La Leche League of the Illinois Valley, a breastfeeding support group, will meet at 10 a.m. June 19 in Ladd. This monthly group helps mothers gain knowledge and support from other breastfeeding moms. Expecting moms encouraged to attend, as well as new and experienced moms. Garage sale

LAMOILLE — LaMoille Community Unit School District 303 will hold its second annual garage sale Friday and Saturday across from the high school at the Betz building. Hours for Friday will be 4 to 7 p.m. for LaMoille residents. Hours for Saturday will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for everyone.

Rummage sale

PRINCETON — The Princeton Veterans Group of Post 125 will take part in the “More on 34” rummage sales on Friday and Saturday. Friday sales will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday sales will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday will be “bag day.”


PRINCETON — The Princeton Rotary will hold its annual auction June 21 at the Princeton Galleria, 1659 N. Main St., Princeton. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the live auction and festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased from any Rotary member. Tickets will also be available at the door. The evening includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. There will also be a silent auction.

Talent show entries wanted

LADD — The Ladd Men’s Club is looking for entries for the Ladd Daze Talent Show, set for 6:30 p.m. July 12 at the Ladd Memorial Park. There is no entry fee. Cash prizes will be awarded in two age divisions. For an entry form, or more information, call 815-894-2092 or email
