Circa ‘21 presents baby boomer comedy show
ROCK ISLAND — Circa ‘21 Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island will present “The Baby Boomer Comedy Show” at 7 p.m. June 19.
This 90-minute comedy show is for people born before seatbelts, safety helmets, Facebook and Twitter. Self proclaimed Baby Boomers Jan McInnis and Kent Rader hit all the familiar topics — family, kids, work, do-it-yourself projects, dieting, and aging to name a few — and it’s all done with clean humor.
“I’m excited about presenting ‘The Baby Boomer Comedy Show,’” said Denny Hitchcock, Circa ‘21 producer. “It’s a hilarious show and one that our guests can attend without worrying about content or language.”
Jan McInnis was featured in the Wall Street Journal as one of the top convention comedians whose act is clean, and in the Washington Post in a challenge from Gene Weingarten to write clean punch lines to his suggestive set-ups. She has performed everywhere from barns to the Mayo Clinic, American Bankers Association, Pep Boys, John Deere, Anthem Blue Cross and the Federal Reserve in Atlanta.
Kent Rader won the Branson Comedy Festival and has been performing his clean comedy to packed convention and theater crowds across the country. He’s a former hospital CFO with a sense of humor. He has the title of “cleanest comedian” for a reason.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. They can be purchased at the Circa ‘21 ticket office at 1828 Third Ave., Rock Island, or by calling 309-786-7733, ext. 2.
