Donna Kearns

PRINCETON — Donna Jean (Einsele) Kearns went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Colonial Hall Rehabilitation Center.

She was born April 19, 1930, to Kenneth and Treasie (Wirth) Einsele. She attended Bureau Township schools and graduated from LaMoille High School. She then attended Brown's Business School In Peoria. She worked and retired from Lange's Professional Art Studio in Princeton.

Donna married Lowell Kearns on March 18, 1950, in LaMoille. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his death on Oct. 31, 2012.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Diane (Ken) Henderson and Larry Kearns, and also by her grandchildren, Kendra Henderson, Holly (Adam) Shipp, Larry (Robin) Kearns Jr. and special grandson Joshua (Heather) Bettridge. One sister, Eileen Swanlund, also survives.

She was an active member of Christ Community Church, Princeton, where she was a past Sunday school teacher, member of several boards, the ladies group and in charge of the kitchen for several years. She dearly loved her ladies Sunday school class and will be most remembered for her kindness to all she would meet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Mary Bullington.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton, with Pastor Brian Strom officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the Norberg Memorial Home.

Memorials may directed to Christ Community Church of Princeton or Colonial Hall.
