New location for IVCH Tennis Classic

LASALLE — The annual tennis tournament sponsored by Illinois Valley Community Hospital is on the move.

The tournament is moving to the new LaSalle-Peru High School athletic complex on Chartres Street just north of the Hygienic Institute in LaSalle after more than 20 years at Washington Park in Peru

The 2014 edition of the IVCH Tennis Classic will be played July 4-6.

The tournament has divisions for all age groups and both sexes, including men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles, mixed doubles, and  boys’ and girls’ singles for players age 13 and under and age 17 and under.

New this year is an award for the best-dressed mixed doubles team.

The entry fee is $15 per person for players registering for a single event and $12 per person for players registering for multiple events. Registration must be done online at www.ivtennisclassic.net.

Christy Savellano and Julie Milota are organizing the tournament for the Illinois Valley Tennis Boosters. Milota is the Illinois Valley Community College tennis coach and any profit from the event will be given to the IVCC tennis program.
