WBVL Update

B League Softball

• The Princeton A’s topped the Princeton Rockies 18-8 in Monday’s nightcap at Westside Park. For the third time in four games, every girl on the A’s reached base and scored. Winning pitcher Carly Wittig homered and pitched the whole game.

The Princeton Cardinals topped LaMoille 20-6 in Monday’s opener.

C League Softball

The Princeton Cardinals held off the Walnut Lightning 15-14 Monday at Westside on Hannah Mueschegel’s walk-off hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Cardinals rolled to a 14-5 lead through four innings behind Mueschegel (2 hits, RBI), Audrey Nelson (1 hit, RBI), Brynn Hieronymus (2 hits, 2 RBIs), McKenzie Hecht (1 hit, RBI), Abby Jensen (2 hits, RBI), Sterling Riley (2 hits, 2 RBIs) and Libby Boyles (1 hit, RBI).

Silenced for three innings, the Lightning scored five runs in the fourth and nine in the fifth to tie the game, led by Sophie Miller (2 hits), Kira Stoller (2 hits, 2 RBIs), Nicki Kerber (2 hits, 2 RBIs), Celine Mungia (2 hits, RBI) and Camron Kolb (double, 2 RBIs).

• In other C League action Monday at Westside Park, the Princeton A’s defeated the Princeton Red Sox 14-9. Annawan topped the Princeton Pirates 19-18 at Annawan.

Senior American Legion

Princeton Post 125 fell to Henry 13-3 and 3-0 on Saturday.
