Summer fun at Beef and Ag Festival

Bureau County residents are encouraged to enjoy a great summer evening of fun, food and entertainment from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 20, when the Bureau County Cattleman’s Association once again sponsors its annual Beef and Ag Festival at Soldier and Sailors Park on South Main Street in Princeton. Since the traditionally-seen Decatur Park Singers have disbanded since last year’s performance at the Beef and Ag Festival, Heartland Bank and Trust will now bring country singer Mary Pfeifer to the stage Friday to sing the songs of legendary country music singer Patsy Cline. Other features for the evening include a tractor show at the courthouse circle, a bake sale provided by the St. Louis Catholic Church, fried mushrooms cooked by the Princeton Lions Club, and of course, the traditional favorite dinner options prepared by the Bureau County Cattlemen Association.
