Craft, vendor show
WALNUT — The Walnut Hometown Celebration craft, vendor show will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 5 and from 8 a.m. to dusk July 6 at the Blue Raider Park, west field. WYANET — The Wyanet Community Club will host a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 8 at the Wyanet Locker. They will serve ribeyes, butterfly chops, pork burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips and pop.
Cookout for veterans
PRINCETON — The Princeton Veterans Group invites all veterans and their families to a free cookout at 1 p.m. July 20 at City-County Park, just north of Princeton. You need not be a member of the Princeton Veterans Group to attend.
Blood drive set

Blood pressure, sugar screen
PRINCETON — Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton will offer a free monthly blood pressure and blood sugar screen from 7:30 to 9 a.m. July 8 in the main lobby at Perry. Those wishing to have their blood sugar checked should fast 12 hours before the screen.
PRINCETON — An informational meeting on diabetes will be at 6 p.m. July 8 in the White Oak Classroom at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. The meeting provides up-to-date guidelines and realistic ways to manage the diagnosis of diabetes. There will also be a time for open discussion and sharing of ideas. PRINCETON — The Princeton Public Library will host John Lynn of Peoria at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. He will present the story of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark with a special emphasis on their Crops of Discovery Expedition’s crossing of the Continental Divide in 1805.
MANLIUS — The 94th annual Hewitt-Plumley reunion will be at 12:30 p.m. July 27 at Mullin Memorial Park in Manlius. Bring a well filled basket, table service and beverage.
