CHERRY — The State Bank of Cherry has once again earned a five-star superior rating from BauerFinancial Inc. of Coral Gables, Fla. A five-star rating signifies the State Bank of Cherry is one of the strongest banks in the nation.
"Community banks, like State Bank of Cherry, that have been able to earn and and maintain Bauer's top rating for strength and security reflect that deep-rooted sense of loyalty to the local community," said Karen L. Dorway, president of the rating firm.
This is the 84th consecutive quarter the State Bank of Cherry has merited this highest honor. Earning the firm’s highest five-star rating for a decade or longer puts the State Bank of Cherry in an elite group of banks called sustained superiority banks. Only 8 percent of the nation’s banks can claim that distinction.
The State Bank of Cherry, established in 1906, has its office located on South Main Street in Cherry. It can also be found on the Internet at www.statebankofcherry.com.
