PRINCETON — Terrance Simien and his Zydeco Experience Band will appear in a free downtown street concert from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Four & Twenty Cafe and Kramer’s will be serving Louisiana cuisine for purchase and alcoholic beverages and soft drinks will be available from Fitzgerald’s and Somewhere Else. Cookout for veterans

PRINCETON — The Princeton Veterans Group invites all veterans and their families to a free cookout at 1 p.m. July 20 at City-County Park, just north of Princeton. You need not be a member of the Princeton Veterans Group to attend.

Blood drive set

PRINCETON — An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Lion’s Club, 308 Howard, in LaMoille. To make an appointment, call Diane Schlegel at 815-638-2711. You are eligible if you last donated on or before May 15. A Red Cross donor card or photo ID is needed.

Book sale

PRINCETON — The Friends of Princeton Public Library will host its July book sale from 5 to 8 p.m. July 17 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 18 at the library, 698 E. Peru St. This event will give avid readers an opportunity to browse and pick up summer reading material. The entire sale room will be open for this event. All books are donated by of Princeton and surrounding communities. The books are edited carefully to ensure the new titles appear at each sale.

Moose Autorama

PRINCETON — The Princeton Moose Lodge will host its Moose Autorama from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Lodge. All cars, trucks, tractors, semi-tractors and motorcycles are welcome. There is a $10 entry fee. The event will also include a DJ, 50/50 drawing, vendors, raffles, door prizes, food and awards. Proceeds from the event will go to Mooseheart and Moose charities. BBQ in the Park fundraiser

LADD — A BBQ in the Park fundraiser benefiting Project Success’ Hall Township Food Pantry will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 13 at War Memorial Park in Ladd. This event, part of the Ladd Daze Celebration, is a dine in the park or curbside to go. The cost is $12 and the menu is pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and baked beans.
