Lincoln to practice in Hennepin ... almost

A re-enactment of Abraham Lincoln’s State versus Melissa Goings murder trial will be presented at the upcoming 175th anniversary of the Putnam County Courthouse during Hennepin’s Fourth of July Celebration. The re-enactment will be at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. July 4 at the Putnam County Courthouse. In addition, there will be several other festivities to celebrate the Fourth of July, including a 5K run/walk, kids’ inflatables, a bags tournament and the annual cruise-in at Ernest Bassi Park. And of course, don’t forget the fireworks!
