CGH Emergency Department has new entrance

Published: Wednesday, July 9, 2014 2:47 p.m. CST

STERLING – Phase 1 of the construction, expansion and renovation of CGH Medical Center’s Emergency Department (ED) is now complete and 13 of the 24 new treatment rooms are in use.

With the construction moving into Phase 2, the Emergency Department’s old entrance is now closed. Please do not enter under the old ED canopy entrance. In an emergency situation, there is no longer staff at the old entrance to assist patients as this has become a construction area. All patients need to enter through the awning/scaffolding placed outside the temporary Emergency Department entrance at the southeast entrance of the hospital (near the corner of LeFevre Road and Second Avenue).

Additionally, for security purposes, the new ED will have secured access, and only two visitors per ED patient will be allowed.

Visit www.cghmc.com/ED for additional construction news and updates.
