Spring Valley City Bank honored

SPRING VALLEY — Spring Valley City Bank has once again earned a five-star superior rating from BauerFinancial Inc. of Coral Gables, Fla., the nation’s bank rating firm.

"Community banks, like Spring Valley City Bank, that have been able to earn and maintain Bauer's top rating for strength and security reflect that deep-rooted sense of loyalty to the community," said Karen L. Dorway, president of the rating firm.

the bank's latest five-star rating is based on March 31 financial data and signifies that it is one of the strongest banks in the nation. Having earned this five-star rating for 89 consecutive quarters puts the Spring Valley City Bank in an category called "sustained superiority banks", which only 7 percent of the nation's banks have earned Bauer's top rating for so long and with such consistency.

Spring Valley City Bank, established in 1905, is located at 315 N. Cornelia St., Spring Valley. It can also be found on the Internet at www.svcb.com.
