Widmark group to meet

PRINCETON — The Richard Widmark Centennial Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Princeton Public Library’s Matson Meeting Room. The public is invited to attend and get involved. In the same room at 6 p.m., the Widmark Wednesday movie for July will be shown.

Bake sale

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Women’s Teachers chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Teaching Society will host a bake sale at Lunch in the Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Soldiers and Sailors Park.

Adamson-Polson Reunion

PRINCETON — The Adamson-Polson reunion will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Zearing Park Shelter. Each family should bring a meat dish, another covered dish, table service and cold beverages. Coffee and ice cream will be furnished.

Grief, loss support group

PRINCETON — The Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice grief and loss support group will meet at 2:30 p.m. July 15 in the Perry Memorial Hospital chapel. The group is to help deal with the pain of loss, and work through the grief of losing someone you love. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month. Upcoming blood drives

SHEFFIELD/SPRING VALLEY — American Red Cross blood drives will be held in both Sheffield and Spring Valley. The event in Sheffield will be from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 21 at the St. Patrick Church Hall, 231 W. Atkinson St. The event in Spring Valley will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. July 22 at St. Margaret’s Hospital, 600 E. First St. To donate, call 800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org.

Buddy Bags drawdown

PRINCETON — The Princeton Buddy Bags will hold a back to school drawdown on Aug. 16 at the Princeton Elks Lodge. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with dinner from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will be live music by 212. Tickets are $40 each and covers admission and dinner for two people. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
