PRINCETON — A homeless man has entered an open plea of guilty in Bureau County Court to the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of another’s debit card.

Joshua D. Thompson, 24, entered his guilty plea on June 30 before Circuit Judge Marc Bernabei. The judge ordered the probation department to conduct a pre-sentence investigation and set a sentencing hearing for 1 p.m. Sept. 10.

In July 2013, a Princeton woman reported there were unauthorized uses of her debit card. Upon investigation by the Princeton Police Department, it was determined Thompson had used the victim’s debit card at an ATM on June 28, 2013. Thompson was indicted on Oct. 15, 2013, by a grand jury and was arrested in November 2013 in Minnesota.
