Benefit planned

KNOXVILLE — The Roxana Miller Family Benefit will be from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the American Legion, 749 Henderson Road, Knoxville. The event, being held in memory of Roxana Miller of Tiskilwa who passed away on July 7, will include a silent auction, food, door prizes, a 50/50 and DJ. All proceeds from the event will go toward funeral costs. Those unable to attend can make a donation to the Roxane Miller Memorial Fund, Central Bank, 317 S. Main St., Princeton, IL 61356, or call 815-875-3333.

Reunion

NEPONSET — The 76th family reunion of Capt. Erastus Dennison Bill and Ada Mary West Bill will be at noon Aug. 3 at the Neponset Community Hall. Descendants attending should bring their favorite dish to share and family memorabilia. There will be a family business meeting with an election of officers.

Blood drive

Polka Massters

LASALLE — The Polka Massters, a multi-piece band from Joliet, will provide the music at the 4 p.m. Mass on Aug. 2 at St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle.

BV preschool screening

WYANET — Bureau Valley Wyanet South Elementary preschool screening for the upcoming 2014-15 school year will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 6 at Bureau Valley Wyanet School. Each appointment lasts 45 minutes to an hour. Eligible children must be 3 years old by the screening date. Children currently in the program do not need to be screened. Rotary meeting

PRINCETON — The Princeton Rotary Club will meet at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Elks Lodge in Princeton.
