Bureau Valley registration

MANLIUS — Bureau Valley Unit District 340 district wide registration for all grades will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 4 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 5. All Bureau Valley students are to register at Bureau Valley High School, including all special needs students who are residents of Bureau Valley but attend classes in another district.

Due to registration being held in one building, parents and guardians should not bring their elementary or preschool children to registration. However, all high school students should attend in order to verify the accuracy of their schedules.

Students entering kindergarten, sixth or ninth grades must have complete physical examinations, as well as evidence of required immunizations. Students entering from another district for the first time are also required to present complete physical exam forms, immunization records, a certified birth certificate and complete a verification of residence. State mandate requires all students entering kindergarten, second and sixth grades to have completed dental examinations.

All students registering must present a Social Security number and 911 address.

Admission to kindergarten in Bureau Valley Schools is based on chronological age. To be eligible, a child must be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1. Students must present a certified birth certificate before they can attend school.

Registration forms for the Bureau Valley North and Wyanet pre-kindergarten programs have been sent separately to families by mail. Families are to fill out the form and gather the necessary paperwork and return the packet at registration time.
