PRINCETON — The Joe Meyer Park turkey shoot fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Participants should bring their shotgun and/or .22-caliber rifle. Shells will be provided. Food, pop, water and raffles will be available. There will be turkey, ham, money and splatter boards. Joe Meyer Park is located at 16700 2625 East St., Princeton, 6 miles east of Princeton on Route 6, then north 2 miles. Rain date is Aug. 9.
MANLIUS — The Manlius Sportsmen’s Club fish fry will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday as part of the Manlius Day celebration. The cost is $8 and includes fish, cole slaw, baked beans, french fries and a beverage. There will be a gun raffle. The first place prize is a Browning Lever Action 22 or $500, the second place prize is a heritage rough rider 22/22 Mag or $150 and the third place prize is $50. Tickets are $5 each, 3 for $10 and 10 for $20. Must have a valid FOID card to win guns.

MANLIUS — Bureau Valley High School will hold an orientation for incoming freshmen from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 7 in the high school auditorium. Students from Bureau Valley North, Bureau Valley South and Bradford Junior High and all new students have been invited to attend. Students will receive a copy of their schedule that day.

Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center will host a back to school webinar from 9 to 10 a.m. Aug. 12. The webinar will provide strategies to make the back to school transition smoother. It will teach parents how to review their child’s IEP before school starts and tips on how to make going back to school easier on the entire family. Space is limited.
