SPRING VALLEY – Dr. Paul Perona, an orthopedic surgeon affiliated with St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley, recently offered advice to golf fans and local residents about keeping their joints healthy at the Encompass Championship in Glenview June 20-22.

Perona was on-site on behalf of Stryker Orthopaedics at the Stryker Mobility Zone, an interactive health destination designed to educate tournament attendees about joint health and treatment options available to relieve hip and knee pain.

Pro golfers and joint replacement recipients, Fred Funk (knee replacement) and Hal Sutton (double hip replacement), shared their personal stories of how their replacement surgeries have enabled them to continue their careers as competitive golfers. Perona was on-site to help educate attendees on how Funk and Sutton were able to continue with their new Stryker joints.
