Overdose Memory Walk

Princeton Coffeehouse performance

St. Jude’s Benefit

PRINCETON — A St. Jude’s benefit fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Princeton Moose Lodge. The cost is $50 per couple. There will be raffles, pull tabs, a 50/50, drawdown and more. This event is in memory of Danny Sissel. For more information, contact Colleen at 815-875-7782.

‘Laughter’ program

PRINCETON — Bureau County Home and Community Education will sponsor Sandra Lutz from Pekin to present a program on “Laughter” at 3 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Becker Building, 850 E. Thompson St., Princeton. Walnut Rotary extends meetings

WALNUT — The Walnut Rotary Club has expanded its monthly meeting schedule from four to six times a month. In addition to weekly Wednesday meetings at noon at the Walnut Cafe, the club will meet on the first and third Saturday of the month at 7 a.m. at the Walnut Cafe.

Red Hats event

PRINCETON — The Princeton Red Hats will celebrate Red Hats rock and roll at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Princeton Elks Lodge. Members are asked to wear ‘50s attire. There will be a short memorial for Joan Sr.
