Wizards and Wonder Faire

PRINCETON — The Princeton Public Library will host a Wizards and Wonder Fair from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The library hopes to revive the spirit of the former Festival 9 3/4 with a new event celebrating the whole realm of magical or fantastic children’s literature. The event will feature vendors and artisans, children’s activities, food stands, a fun house, storytelling, demonstrations and music. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a “Wizard of Oz” sing-off in honor of its 75th anniversary since its release. Participants will perform a favorite Oz-relate song or dialogue from an Oz musical. Cookout

PRINCETON — The Bureau Valley Buddy bags will hold a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan’s. They will be serving pork chop sandwiches, brats, hot dogs, chips.

Breakfast planned

MALDEN — The Malden Fire Department will hold its annual pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Malden firehouse. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for ages 5-12 and free for preschool and under.

Ice cream social

MALDEN — The Malden United Methodist Church will host its annual ice cream social from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church at 324 Main St. in Malden. The menu will consist of barbeque sandwiches, brats, hot dogs, chips, veggie tray, pie and ice cream.
