Rebecca Wilson (back left) and her children Leah Wilson, 9, and Evan Wilson, 5, present food items and a check for $125 to Vanessa Hoffeditz (back right), director of the Tri-County Opportunities Council Food Pantry in Princeton. The food and money collection was part of the July 13-17 Vacation Bible School program hosted at the First United Methodist Church in Princeton. The food collection drive, with a Let’s Stock the Shelves theme, was a competition between the boys and girls, with the boys coming out victorious. A total of 350 items were collected for the food pantry, which is located at 1019 N. Main St. For each dollar donated to the food pantry, she is able to buy $10 worth of food from an area food bank, Hoffeditz said.
